Worst experience of a hotel in 40 years of travelling the world! Came back from a day working to find someone else in my room! All of my belongings had been put in bin bags behind reception and no explanation or solution was offered. I ended up having to share with a colleague and still haven’t had the issue resolved! Breakfast was supposed to be at 7am but no food was available until 7.20 and no milk in the coffee machines. Also the tables hadn’t been cleared from the previous nights dinner and the staff left us in the restaurant without offering dessert. When we requested desert we were told the kitchen was closed! Avoid like the plague. The problems I’ve listed were not all of it and other people had to go home after a 3 hr drive being told their rooms had been given away!

Looks like it is going through a refurb which is much needed the cream carpet that was in the bedroom has been replaced, The reception area has been changed and not for the better as it has turned into a takeaway eating area with rubbish left all over the place and the parking which is £6 per night has been reduced by adding a car wash which was very icy and slippery

We booked two rooms which included breakfast, on arrival we were told we had to pay £6 per night for parking which I think is shocking and guest should be able to park free like it was with the park inn hotel.When we arrived door cards weren't working so staff had to let everyone in their rooms on arrival. 2nd night cards didn't work so had to go and get new ones. Rooms were good apart from the huge crack in the sink, beds were comfortable. The first morning we went for breakfast, staff came up to us and said our booking didn't include breakfast so had to go to reception to pay for breakfast, told them it did include which they tried to say it didn't, after going to check again she came back and again said no it didn't and we had to pay, luckily my friends had their mobile and we bought up the booking to prove it did include breakfast. I also said this was an embarrassment which we did not like how we were treated. Lady at the reception came over to apologise and promised we could have a free drink as an apology but at the evening the manager refused! This morning (Sunday) at breakfast we had to keep asking for items and certain food, which we shouldn't of had to keep asking . Location was perfect as we were at a party not far away from the hotel. Also I asked if the pool and jacuzzi was still there but sadly they have closed it.

I had a long journey coming from Milton Keynes, I phoned up Emmanuel and Abdul and they were so very polite and really helped me make my way here safely- everything was all ready and all set for me to have the best sleep ever. These two are stars, thankyou so much.

The staff are all very polite and helpful and the hotel is very clean. There is a good selection at breakfast. Obviously it is more of a budget hotel but it does everything it needs to for a pleasant stay!

Had a night here for the company Christmas party. Was ok, beds are slightly springy. Room was clean and cosy. The carpark is chargeable, however it’s slightly discounted when you check in.

Un peu vieillot, pas d'ascenseur. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans la chambre (plateau de courtoisie, gel douche, crème, sèche cheveux...). Bel accueil par la réceptionniste comme par le personnel au petit déjeuner. Buffet pdj complet, frais et fourni. Ambiance agréable au bar, billard et bonnes bières... mais nourriture à éviter. Très bonne literie, pas trop bruyant, propre et globalement bonne relation qualité prix. A 10min de l'aéroport.

Séjour à Londres pour un petit budget, emplacement assez loin de la ville, prévoir au moins 1h30 de transport bus+ métro. Hotel propre correct et personnel réactif. Seul point négatif la baignoire pas très propre avec des traces de calcaires sinon Hotel très correct.

Approx a week ago a group of us arrived on time and were greeted by the events organiser and shown to our tables; we were told we could sit anywhere. One of the chefs was off sick so there was only one chef that day. We were given a list to check they had our correct menu choices. Some of our menus were incorrect so we wrote our correct choice on the form. Our coach leader had all the correct information we had given him a week before, so the hotel should have had our meals sorted out before we arrived. The starters did not come together, same with the mains, by the time our mains arrived two hours had passed. The plates were cold, we had to ask for the food to be heated. We had to keep reminding the waiting staff of our dietary requirements even after they brought the food to us and after making corrections on the list earlier. No gravy or condiments on the table, we had to ask for these. Bar staff did not seem to know what they were doing, when asked for drinks they appeared inexperienced, there was no beer from the pumps. Approx 3pm the entertainment started. The dinner was due to start 1pm, by 3.30 we still did not have our dessert. They started bringing desserts before they cleared away the left over mains. The bar was not always manned, we had to ask reception for a bar attendant and when our desserts would be ready. The complete service was disorderly and a shambles. The itinerary included coffee and mince pies. We had to walk round to the restaurant area to make our own coffee. The milk container had not be refilled, there were dirty cups all over the place. The musicians lifted the afternoon with genres of music that otherwise would have been a disastrous day.

The Harlow Hotel is part of the Accor range and therefore are expected to have certain standards. It does try hard and if you have any issues, go and see the Operations manager who is very happy to help.

Possibly the worst hotel I’ve had the misfortune to stay in for a very long time. For £134.00 you get a room with twin beds where the mattresses are so poor the springs almost propel to the ceiling if you dare to turn over. The floor of the room had strange disconcerting lumps under the carpet. The teaspoons had not been cleaned from the previous poor soul who was issued this cell. The shower doesn’t work, so instead of fixing it, they put a mixer tap in the bath, but the head bracket height is set for someone 5’0”. The room was located next to the stairwell, at the top of which a fire door with no soft close slammed shut all night, along with the footsteps going up and down the stairs and the paper thin wall led to a sleepless night. I didn’t try the restaurant, the menu was enough to put me off. All in all absolutely terrible and very expensive too!

Great nights stay prior to our early flight from Stansted. Staff were very helpful and the room price includes long stay car park at Stansted. Made our wake up reasonable rather than driving from London at 1am.

Nice room, comfy beds, front of staff house excellent. Only negs, limited bar space for food. Had to pay 6 notes for parking, which imo should be free for guests Beer prices excellent.

A lovely greeting from reception and a pleasant surprise to find the pool table in the bar. My room was clean and well appointed with a very comfortable home from home bed and I slept well. The shower was good and the soaps provided were fragrant and fresh, breakfast however was lacklustre and there was a lack of urgency towards people who needed breakfast and needed to get going out. Around 10 people only were in the dining room and we all at some point had to wait for items to be replenished. The staff were painfully slow in all that they did, and there were huge gaps in the service. Watching business people become frustrated and inconvenienced by Items that had ran out was hard to watch. This cast a shadow over my stay as I ended up with an extremely poor and lacking breakfast and I would not return again.

A nice little hotel, facilities are basic but great for a one night stay, comfy room, room was clean. Big tv for a cosy night in. Would recommend- great value for money!
